About IFMSA

As the heart and life of every IFMSA Party, the JAMSA OC has every intention of living up to it's reputation as the most fun NMO in IFMSA. Here's what we have planned:

Principal's Reception August 3^rd	Come as the specially invited guests of the principal of the University of the West Indies.
Live Band/Karaoke August 4^th	Venue: Red Square at Rex Nettleford Hall of Residence, University of the West Indies (UWI) Entertainment will be provided by medical students (including delegates). Come enjoy the instruments and vocal talent or participate for yourself!
Toga Tuesday August 5^th	Venue: Rex Nettleford Multi-Purpose Room at the UWI Party Jamaican style with dancehall and international music. Bring your own sheet and try to win the prize for the best toga!
Quad Night Club or Independence Day Concert August 6^th	Venue: The Quad nightclub on Dominica Drive adjacent to New Kingston’s “hip strip” The Quad is Kingston’s only multi-level nightclub with access to 2 nightclubs and 2 bars all in one building! ---- or ---- August 6 is Jamaica’s Independence Day. Come to a concert celebrating this historic day, with cultural dances and songs by Jamaican nationals.
GA Opening Ceremony August 5^th	Venue: Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort and Spa (SJG) Enjoy a warm Caribbean welcome in the elegance of the Portland ballroom. We are proud to include the Jamaica’s Prime Minister the Right Honourable Bruce Golding as our guest speaker.
Margaritavlille August 5^th	Venue: Island Village Plaza, Ocho Rios Come taste their famous drinks while tapping to the beats of Jamaica in the nightclub
Cultural Show August 5^th	Venue: Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort and Spa (SJG) 10 countries will be chosen to perform. Time limit: 7 minutes
International Drinks Night August 5^th	Venue: Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort and Spa (SJG) Bring a drink from your nation for other delegates to sample.
GA Half Day August 5^th	Event: Sports Competition Venue: Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort and Spa (SJG) We’ll be hosting a ‘mini Olympics’ featuring beach volleyball, football and relays. ---- or ---- Event: Trip to Dunn’s River Falls and Park Venue: Dunn’s River Falls and Park, Ocho Rios Climb the majestic falls or just relax on the beach and enjoy the scenery ---- or ---- Event: Explore the town of Ocho Rios Venue: Ocho Rios The Organizing Committee (OC) will be transporting delegates to the most interesting sites in Ocho Rios. Event: Evening of games/Beach party Venue: Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort and Spa (SJG) Dominoes, card games, board games and mini-competitions. Then, join us for a party!
Closing Ceremony August 5^th	Venue: Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort and Spa (SJG) We close off AM08 in style and fun with our farewell ceremony. You’ll be sure to "remember the island".
