throughout your stay here in Jamaica. You

The
designated airport for the Pre-GA will be the
Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in
Kingston. We, the Transportation Sub-Committee
are pleased to announce that all forms of transport
during the Pre-GA will be free! This is complimentary
of the Office of Student Service at the University
of the West Indies.
Transportation
will be provided:
- For delegates arriving at the NMIA only on
the first day of the Pre-GA, August 3rd, with
a 20 minute shuttle service to the Mona Campus
of the University of the West Indies (UWI) in
Kingston.
- For local ground transportation during Pre-GA
for social events.
- For those leaving Jamaica after them Pre-GA:
from the UWI Mona Campus back to the NMIA.
The designated airport
for the GA is the Sir Donald Sangster International
Airport (DSIA) in Montego Bay. Transportation
to and from this airport to the GA in Ocho Rios
will be provided by Jamaica Tours Limited. This
tour company has a base at the airport and has
an agreement with the OC.

(Arrival Day): Members of the OC will
be on hand to welcome you at the DSIA in Montego
Bay and place you on buses to go to the GA at
the Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort & Spa in Ocho
Rios.
Arriving on any
another day? Let us know your flight
information, Jamaica Tours has a permanent desk
in the Arrivals Hall of the DSIA and they will
be expecting you! Even if your plans change, we
recommend that you approach the Jamaica Tours
desk and identify yourself as a delegate of the
GA and they will take care of you!

(Departure Day): On the final day of
the GA, you will be put on buses from the GA venue
at the Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort & Spa back
to the DSIA in Montego Bay and the NMIA in Kingston.
Departing on
any another day?
Again Jamaica Tours has a desk at the GA venue.
You will find them very accommodating to your
needs. You will be fine. This is their business!
Social events transportation
during the GA will also be provided at a cost.
Going to the
GA after the Pre-GA?
We will provide transportation to the GA from
the University of the West Indies at a cost of
US$35.00 per person.
Going to Kingston
after the GA?
For those who are departing from the NMIA in Kingston
after the GA, the cost of transport will be US$40.00
per person.

Arriving at the
NMIA for the GA?
The Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston
is NOT the designated airport of arrival for the
GA. If arrival at the NMIA cannot be avoided,
limited provisions can be made for persons who
arrive on August 7th at the NMIA, but not after
the 7th August. Cost US$40.00 per person.
Similarly, some delegates
may be arriving at the DSIA in Montego Bay for
the Pre-GA in Kingston. (No transport will be
arranged by the OC for delegates arriving at the
DSIA in Montego Bay for the Pre-GA in Kingston).
There are several modes of transportation available
to get to your destination:
- Taxis: Only use taxis with
RED license plates. Look out for names such
as JUTA, On Time taxi service, City Guide &
Express.
- Buses: Jamaica Tours
Ltd., JUTA, Knutsford Express.
- Connecting domestic flights between
NMIA and DSIA airports: See information
desk at airports.
